OpenStudy (becca9898):

Two triangles have areas of in^2 and x+20 in^2. What values of x make the triangles congruent?

OpenStudy (becca9898):

Really need help! I do not understand this at all :/

OpenStudy (kamibug):

Is there something missing in your question? :) "have areas of ___ in^2" ?

OpenStudy (becca9898):

I thought that myself. However, I went back to document, and I am not missing anything. :/

OpenStudy (kamibug):

Oh that's weird. Well I guess all I can say is, if they're congruent, they need the same areas. So if you're given that one triangle is x+20 in^2 ...then the other one should be too. Maybe if you take like a screenshot of the document? :) No other info came with the question?

OpenStudy (becca9898):

Sure! Let me try that :)

OpenStudy (becca9898):

OpenStudy (becca9898):

#15 would be the question :)

OpenStudy (kamibug):

That is so strange. o.o It's not even multiple choice. It's messing up my brain. XD Maybe I haven't actually studied these situations before. :P Let's wait for someone else to see your question! :D

OpenStudy (becca9898):

Right?! I did not know if my teacher messed it up or not! Thank you for trying to help me anyways! :)

OpenStudy (kamibug):

Sure thing! :) If you're teacher wrote these problems him/herself, you might wanna contact him/her to ask about the problem. It might just be a mistake.

Must be a typo
