I WILL MEDAL AND FAN! Please help me with this chem question. I'm so confused! 4. A nuclear engineer is designing a nuclear reactor for a new power plant. The reactor core will have an operating temperature of 773 K. The engineer must choose an appropriate coolant to transfer heat from the reactor core through one or more cooling loops to the steam generator and turbines/generator that produce electricity. Running the coolant under pressure is more expensive than running it at normal atmospheric pressure (1 atm). The choices for the reactor coolant are listed in the table below, with their properties. Choose which substance would be best to recommend to the engineer.
Explain how the chemical bonds in the substance account for its properties.
Here is the graph it came with.

@purple_pink know anyone that can help with this one? By the way, sorry if I'm bothering you!
no it's ok
well not rn sorry, cuz he is offline
Okay, thanks. Could you give me their username in case they come on later?
I was thinking sodium chloride, because it could withstand the temperature (773 K)
ok it is @airjordan200
i believe he is in 10th grade aswell
That's what I was thinking, but I couldn't explain it. thanks!
np! :)
@Ms-Brains it's k12. can you help please?
