One place Carolina chickadees like to live is in forests. They build their homes in holes they find in red maples and other trees. They eat many kinds of insects that live in trees and tree bark. They also eat fruit and seeds from poison ivy, golden-rods, and other sun-loving plants. Some of their predators include hawks, owls, cats, and chipmunks.
