I think it is 21 I am not sure, but that is the legal age and it makes sense. Because if you don't use alcohol until you are legally able to do so, more than likely you will not grow and addiction because of the development of your brain is more matured and it will help you control yourself better. Unlike if you were only about say...16 or so (when children start to learn and gain ability to use alcohol and drugs) its easier for you to get addicted or abuse them, because it has full access to the hormones.
