8.Which sentence contains a misplaced modifier? A. The dog likes the squeaky toy, which I'm sure he will quickly shred to bits. B. Those bananas are from the grocery store, which I bought today. C. The baby has an infection, which can be cured with antibiotics @HannahA @Miastarr

OpenStudy (xxcookiequeenxx):

D

OpenStudy (hannaha):

There is no D?

OpenStudy (hannaha):

Or is there?

OpenStudy (hannaha):

Are these all the options @xx

OpenStudy (xxcookiequeenxx):

I meant C

OpenStudy (daniee_bruhh):

Misplaced Modifiers are Works that make the sentence not make sense. Like for example: I want to give the baby a kiss, that is sitting on my lap. The kiss isn't sitting on your lap so that would be an example of a misplaced modifier. Now what do you think the answer is?

OpenStudy (hannaha):

In that case yes, @XxCookieQueenxX because either the baby or the infection could be spoken of

OpenStudy (hannaha):

So you are correct

OpenStudy (daniee_bruhh):

Really? I would say that the correct answer is B. Because you didn't buy the store but the bananas.

OpenStudy (hannaha):

True tho. Both have inconsistencies but B. might be a better option than C.
