As you can see, the decimal equivalent of 5/21 is not simply 0.238095, so choice A is not the answer. The calculator shows 0.238905238095. This is enough to show that it is a repeating decimal with 238095 being the repeating part. That is why D is the correct answer. The bar over 238095 shows that 238095 repeats.
