A sociologist wants to know the opinions of employed adult women about government funding for day care. The women were asked to rate the government support on a scale of 1 to 5, with a score of 1 representing the least support and a score of 5 representing the highest support.

Probability 0.110 0.206 0.464 0.201 0.119

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Rating 1 too little 2 helpful but not enough 3 makes a difference but insufficient 4 sufficient 5 generous Probability 0.110 0.206 0.464 0.201 0.119

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

I'm not sure what the question is, but if you need to find the expected value, multiply each probability by the rating that goes with it, and add them all up. So multiply rating 1 by its probability, rating 2 by its probability, and so on, and add them all up.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Post a screenshot since I don't know what the actual question asks for, or which numbers go with which.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

I don't know if you noticed, but you didn't actually post a question. You posted part of a question. I have no idea what the question is actually asking for.

You're on a computer. A computer is capable of taking a screenshot. Don't take a photo of a computer screen...

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Use the Snipping Tool if you're using windows
