Rules for Debates Within this Section:

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

It is fine to debate and to share your beliefs in this section. However, it is \(\bf\underline{\color{red}{NOT}}\) okay to try to prove someone else's beliefs as incorrect or reply with crude comments that are demeaning toward another person or their beliefs. Do not judge or demerit other's beliefs, do not use demeaning terms when speaking about another stance. If your question or comment requires a statement such as "Don't get me wrong...," "I'm not trying to be rude...," or any other similar statement, don't post it. If you disagree with something that another user brings up, simply say something like this, "I respect your beliefs, but I don't agree." If you'd like, you can tell them why you don't agree, as long as your comment does not try to prove their religion as incorrect or as long as your comment is not demeaning or offensive toward them and their beliefs. You can say something such as "I respect your beliefs, but I believe... because..." It's all about having a \(\bf\color{lime}{friendly}\) and \(\bf\color{magenta}{respectful}\) debate. \(\large\rm\color{cornflowerblue}{Open}\color{lightgreen}{Study}\) is used by users from all over the world who come from a variety of backgrounds and beliefs. Religious debates are \(\bf\color{lime}{okay}\), but disrespect is absolutely \(\bf\color{red}{not}\) okay. Anyone found posting disrespectful (rude, demeaning, offensive) replies will have their post or reply deleted and the user's account may also be suspended. Our \(\bf\color{cornflowerblue}{Code~of~Conduct}\) states that we must "\(\bf\color{lime}{Be~Nice!}\)" and tells us not to be "\(\bf\color{red}{Offensive,~inappropriate,~or~creepy!}\)" As previously stated, if a user is found being unkind or offensive, they could be suspended. Please report a user if they are behaving in an unkind or offensive manner or are saying unkind or offensive things to others here. \(\Large\bf\underline{\color{red}{When~Debating:}}\) \(\large\bf\color{orange}{Be~respectful~of~other's~beliefs~and~opinions.}\) \(\large\bf\color{gold}{Use~careful~wording~so~as~not~to~offend~others.}\) \(\large\bf\color{lime}{Be~kind.}\) \(\large\bf\color{cornflowerblue}{Be~respectful.}\) \(\large\bf\color{blueviolet}{Keep~in~mind~that~this~site~is~for~educational~purposes.}\) \(\large\bf\color{magenta}{Teach,~learn,~and~have~fun!}\) \(\Large\cal\color{magenta}{Thanks!}\) \(\Large\cal\color{blueviolet}{And~thanks~for~using~}\color{cornflowerblue}{Open}\color{lightgreen}{Study!}\)

> However, it is NOT−−−−− okay to try to prove someone else's beliefs as incorrect. Beliefs can be incorrect? If I believe 1 + 1 = 0, that does not make it true... In a more extreme case, I believe religion is a force of evil, but is it? I can also believe nihilism is probably the proper stance on morals, but is it? The main issue is the majority of these questions are subjective, or rely an assumption. Sometimes it is also the answers fault, for example an asker says, "What are the attributes of the Ganesha?" A non Hindu person would likely response saying no such being exists, rather than what a Hindu person would respond with like quotes from scripture considering the attributes of Ganesha.

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

"It is fine to debate" "However, it is NOT−−−−− okay to try to prove someone else's beliefs as incorrect " *cough*
