plz help What is the area of the polygon? A. 134 cm2 B. 170 cm2 C. 202 cm2 D. 238 cm2

OpenStudy (foxflame2130):

@carolinasfinest

OpenStudy (foxflame2130):

@Lexi.babyy @swaggd2 @Anaise plz help

OpenStudy (foxflame2130):

@Qwertty123 plz help

OpenStudy (foxflame2130):

@FakeReality

OpenStudy (fakereality):

Where's the polygon?

OpenStudy (foxflame2130):

plz help I dont under stand it

OpenStudy (fakereality):

Hmm, hold on, I think I can find out the answer.

OpenStudy (foxflame2130):

ok

OpenStudy (fakereality):

The area of the triangle is equal to 1/2 of the base times the height. (1/2 x 8) x 17 The area of a parallelogram is equal to the base times the height. 6 x 17 Then add them together. 68 + 102 = 170

OpenStudy (foxflame2130):

lol I had clicked a random answer before and it was 170

OpenStudy (fakereality):

That coincidence though! XD

OpenStudy (taiofchi):

._.

OpenStudy (taiofchi):

length times width = area....

OpenStudy (foxflame2130):

that doesn't work for irregular polygons it's much more difficult

OpenStudy (taiofchi):

ohh its irregular?

OpenStudy (taiofchi):

Sorry I didn't know

OpenStudy (foxflame2130):

it's ok

OpenStudy (foxflame2130):

nother question

OpenStudy (foxflame2130):

What is the area of the figure? A. 90 mm2 B. 110 mm2 C. 130 mm2 D. 180 mm2 https://static.k12.com/calms_media/media/1567000_1567500/1567393/1/c4468a1690d478712d6a5a1c88192858380e4b51/MS_IMB-1401012-1100712.jpg

OpenStudy (taiofchi):

110/

OpenStudy (fakereality):

I actually think it's 90.

OpenStudy (foxflame2130):

in my lesson I'm on it said to split them but it didn't help me

OpenStudy (fakereality):

Well, it's either 90, or 110.

OpenStudy (taiofchi):

90 is correct.

OpenStudy (taiofchi):

1/2 * h(a+b) 1/2 * 10(7+11) 5 * 18 90mm^2 but that's for

OpenStudy (fakereality):

I can't believe I'm actually helping people on Math. This is amazing.

OpenStudy (taiofchi):

Good job mate

OpenStudy (fakereality):

Thanks.

OpenStudy (foxflame2130):

thank you both for helping I will fan both of you

OpenStudy (taiofchi):

No prob

OpenStudy (taiofchi):

you can come to us when ya need help again :3

OpenStudy (foxflame2130):

ok
