Will Medal! Where should commas be added in the following sentence? “Three Skeleton Key” got its name as the narrator tells us from three escaped convicts. A. after got and us B. after name and us C. after as D. after three

OpenStudy (ulink):

I don't think it's A. and D.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A comma is placed where a pause is. Where would a pause in the sentence make the most sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You are correct in that assumption, It is either B or C.

OpenStudy (scarlettfarra2000):

Obviously we would pick the letter B. because we use it to set off the phrase "as the narrator tells us" . To introduce the phrase we put the comma at the end of name And to close it put a comma after us.

OpenStudy (ulink):

I was thinking B. too. But wasn't sure.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well there you go!

Thanks!
