Solve this pair of equations for a and d (a represents a sub 1) 74 = a + d*4 1460 = a + d*70 Post what you get, okay?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont get it -_-

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ait hold on.let me show uu wat I got ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope Idk .-.

Directrix (directrix):

What if the problem were to solve these two equations simultaneously? Could you do it? x + 4y = 74 x + 70y = 1460 --------------

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Does this have anything to do with my problem?

Directrix (directrix):

Yes. If you solve for x and y, we can do the other two questions easily. x = a and y = d I thought x and y variables might make the problem of finding a simultaneous solution easier for you. We need the value of x and y to get the first term of the sequence. a is the first term and d is the common difference of the sequence.

^Okaii ik that bacause the arithmetic and geometric formula.
