OpenStudy (lolbunny):

How do you solve a problem featuring a power with no base??

OpenStudy (lolbunny):

Thank you!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

np

OpenStudy (lolbunny):

Like an example would be 2-^x, I am confused as to how that would be possible :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you mean \[2^{-x}\]?

OpenStudy (lolbunny):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the minus sign in the exponent means take the reciprocal, so \[\huge2^{-x}=\frac{1}{2^x}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but there is nothing to "solve" unless you have an equal sign somewheres

OpenStudy (lolbunny):

I think I get what your saying. Thank you!!! How do I medal you? I'm new

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is there more to the question ?
