Suggestion: Allow subscribers to save/edit CSS rules for custom themes
I think it's a good idea... But there could be many flaws that come with that, don't you think?
idk yo. It'd be entirely client side, and if they mess something up, they could just undo it.
Then yeah, it's a good idea
Its already in my extension, this was sopposed to be my project, :P
JS is usefull for various plugins i dont have incorporated into my extension xD
Ok, but some people don't want to have to use an extension for OS features. Not having ads is a subscription feature, but you can also use adblock. Ya get me?
i gotttt uuuu
There aren't much subscriber on OS.
subscribers*
wait if where does the money go when ppl subscribe
It goes to Preetha...
oh so the mods dont get share of it when they r the ones helping
The mods moderate voluntarily.
oh
I'm well aware that there aren't a lot of subscribers. Adding more benefits for subscription would make being a subscriber more attractive, and would most likely increase the amount of subscribers, thus making more money for OS, so preetha can finally afford an active dev team.
na OS is good how it is tbh
Not really. It's a humongous bugfest, the only place where you have a good chance of getting reliable help is the math section, the mod tools are very limiting, it's lacking in usability features, etc. etc.
I am not going to lie that is very true only the math is very reliable. I asked a question in like Spanish it took about a day to get an answer and it wasn't even right

The difference is my extension is helping the site... Adblock would be hurting it, that is unless it is a profit friendly adblock that removes ads 3 seconds after they load.
English and history may be active, but in those groups, it's more peer-to-peer studying/helpinh, whereas in math, you have geniuses like ganeshie8, Hero, Zarkon, Directrix, robotobey, phi etc.
Also, jay, that's not the point. A lot of people don't care that adblock lowers ad revenue, they just don't want to see ads. As stated earlier, the point of this post is a suggestion to make subscription more attractive so that more people subscribe.
Yep, I block ads with adblock.
" make subscription more attractive so that more people subscribe." Yes, the subscription needs an update because just having the logo next your title isn't that interesting. If i am not mistaken, you can edit CSS using inspect but that doesn't save. But that is a great idea :D But with CSS, you can also rearrange everything in the site also so that is one scary side.
Right, but if you wanna jank up the site and save it, it'd still be entirely client-side. It wouldn't be editing the css file stored in OS's file server, it'd be kinda like tumblr themes (this is in no way an endorsement for tumblr. tumblr is the worst thing ever.)
Some people could screw it up and for example push the reset button out of the screen hahaha. Just a theme editor would suffice I guess.
A good idea. Able to edit themes is fine. Why do you want to use CSS now. Well for able to use a CSS format, admin authority over website should be given. And thats not possible.
``` Right, but if you wanna jank up the site and save it, it'd still be entirely client-side. It wouldn't be editing the css file stored in OS's file server ``` It would be like uploading a profile picture or something. There would be a default file to go off of, it would be editable, and the page would load a different file for each user.
