use the stem an leaf plot below to answer questions 1-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the range of data A( 40 B( 42 C( 54 D( 96 what is the median of data A( 64.5 B( 72.5 C( 74.5 D( 75 what is the mode of data A( 5 B( 70 C( 75 D( 88

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please help

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

HIII I CAN PROBABLY HELP

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

shoot caps

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

okay so what is range @meeep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

so: Range is the area of variation between upper and lower limits on a particular scale. #google thanks

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

so take your largest number and subtract it by your smallest. that is how you find your range on a stem|leaf. if you were doing it on a graph it would be much different.

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

that make sense @meeep

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

And the mode is the number that occurs the most in a set of data. so what number occurs the most?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for mode 5?

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

75 becasue on this stem and plot you have 4|5 means 45 and on this one it is 7|5 so what does it have to be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

75

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about the range and meadian

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

i told you for range

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

read the previous replies I stated

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

42

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

96-54 is what

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

96 is your largest number 54 is your smallest

OpenStudy (anonymous):

96-54 = 42

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@RhondaSommer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about meadian

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

so then yes it is your answer

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

I TOLD YOU ABOUT THAT

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

OH MY GOODNESS READ THE REPLIES PLEASE

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no you havent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please help @xMissAlyCatx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@RhondaSommer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@563blackghost I need help with meadian

OpenStudy (ace-n-it):

not for sure but i think the median is 75

563blackghost (563blackghost):

First lets list the numbers.... 54,55,60,66,69,72,73,74,75,75,81,82,88,89,95,96 Now they area laredy in order....Now in order to find the median we would cross out the first number and the last number and continue on..... |dw:1457365331701:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have two mare questions if you don't mind @563blackghost

563blackghost (563blackghost):

i dont mind at all ^^

563blackghost (563blackghost):

is it the range and mode of this problem?

OpenStudy (ace-n-it):

nice @563blackghost

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how many students ran more than six miles A( 7 B( 5 C( 4 D( 3 what was the shortest distance in miles that a student ran A( 4 B( 4.3 C( 43 D( 43.5

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

lol sorry meeep i was getting frustrated because i felt like i had to keep on saying stuff over and over again

563blackghost (563blackghost):

So we first analyze the key we see that when we combine it will be a decimal... So we list the numbers.... 4.3, 4.5, 5.0, 5.5, 5.6, 6.2, 6.2, 6.4, 7.1, 7.3, 8.0, 8.4 Now to find the students who ran more than six miles we cross out everything before 6.2..... |dw:1457365868488:dw|

563blackghost (563blackghost):

For the second question we would simply analyze the list and the number at the beginning is the least since this is in least to greatest... 4.3, 4.5, 5.0, 5.5, 5.6, 6.2, 6.2, 6.4, 7.1, 7.3, 8.0, 8.4 So what would be the least?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7?

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Yup 7 is the answer for 1 ^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I guess the second one is 4.3

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Correct as well ^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:3 <3 <3

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Great Job :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks I luvvvvvvvvvv uuuuuu soooooo munch
