Which of the following describes characteristics of the mesosphere? A.) has low air pressure, but high temperature B.) temperature increases with altitude (the ozone layer absorbs sunlight) C.) contains the most water and has the highest air pressure D.) temperature decreases with altitude, meteoroids burn up here

OpenStudy (audiomanxan):

I've researched the mesosphere and here is some information I found: "The mesosphere is a layer of Earth's atmosphere. The mesosphere is directly above the stratosphere and below the thermosphere. It extends from about 50 to 85 km (31 to 53 miles) above our planet. Temperature decreases with height throughout the mesosphere."] I'd say it's D. because the temp. decreases with height! But whatever you feel is the right answer! Resource: http://scied.ucar.edu/shortcontent/mesosphere-overview
