This is something I did two months ago. It was an assignment of mine. I was making a remake of The Pomegranate Seeds. I really did have fun doing this and I just felt like sharing it I hope you guys like it. :)
The Pomegranate Seeds (Remake) By: Adrianna Gongora Zeus and Cerelia had a beautiful daughter named Cora. Cerelia loved Cora very much, and was extremely protective. She wanted to keep her close at all times. Cerelia was the goddess of harvest and it was her job to tend to all of the plants on earth. For some unusual reason the seasons had been backwards, causing her to ripen the harvest more faster than usual. She put on her sun straw hat, grabbed her straw raffia bag, and got into her carriage that was guided by pegasus. Right as she was about to leave Cora stopped her. “Mother, i’m going to be awfully lonely while you are gone. May I go down to the shore of the ocean and ask the Nereids if they would like to play?” “Well I don’t see why not. But, I don’t want you to wander off from there. I don’t want you going even close to the forbidden garden. If you’re done playing with them then follow the rock trail back home, okay?” said Cerelia. “Okay mother, I will.” promised Cora. As the end of the carriage disappeared, Cora was walking up to the ocean shore. She called out to the Nereids, and within two minutes they popped their heads out the water. Cora had brought some brown vine like garland, and the Nereids brought up some hardened starfish and sea shells. Together they all made seashell headbands and crowns. When they were done they had some leftover garland so Cora said,” I’m going to go get some flowers so we can make flower headbands and crowns.” “Okay we will be in the water when you come back just call out to us.” said the Nereids. Cora grabbed her headband and crown and left. As Cora was walking to her house to pick flowers from her garden, she seen something. She went to a sudden stop and stared at the most mysterious plant. It was called bleeding heart. It was just barely inside the forbidden garden in which her mother had told her not to go into. It’s colors were blue, yellow, red, pink, and white. She knew that she shouldn’t go into the forbidden garden but, she was tempted to. Her temptation had won and she had found herself standing face to face with the mysterious plant. She decided she would pull the whole plant out by the root and plant it in her garden, then take some to her Nereid friends. She began to pull but stopped suddenly in shock that a hole was being made. It was a dark endless hole that had consumed around twenty feet of the ground. She stood there dumbfounded staring at the hole unknowingly of what she should do. To her amazement the endless hole wasn’t so endless. Something had appeared to be coming out. Within seconds a dark shadow like carriage was next to her with two amundsen black pegasus. She knew she should probably run and call out for help but it was as if she was in a frozen spell of fear and wonderment. The carriage door began to open and a man stepped out. “My name is Thanatos, please do not fear me. Would you like to take a ride in my carriage with me?” As most would do in this position she yelled out for her mother, “Mother Cerelia! Help! Help! Please Save Me!” Unfortunately for Cora her mother was probably thousands of miles away from her and couldn’t help. Quickly before poor Cora could get away, Thanatos snatches her, gets into his carriage and is off. “Why are you so afraid, child? I’m not going to cause you any harm. Ahh, I can see you’ve been picking flowers. I have a garden at my castle filled with every plant there is on earth. Do you know who I am? I’m King Thanatos, I am the king of Rubies and Diamond and All sorts of other precious gems and jewels.” said Thanatos. “Leave me alone! Take me down and back to my mother! I want my mother! I want to go home!” Cora said. “How foolish of you! My castle is by a thousand times better than your mother’s! Now hush I don’t want to hear no more of this.”Instantly Cora began to cry and feel helpless and yelled out, “I will not be silent! I want to go home and be with my mother!” Thanatos began to feel bad but quickly became filled with anger. Cora looked out the window of the carriage and had a glimpse of the little town they were about to go past. She seen her mother Cerelia and decided to give out one more scream for help. She filled herself up with all the energy she had and yelled out, “Mother! Mother! It’s Me Cora! Help Me! Help Me!” Her mother turned around but not fast enough to catch a glimpse of Cora. Cora began to cry. She was overwhelmed with the feeling of hopelessness. “I promise you, as long as you cooperate, you will never be unhappy.”said Thanatos. They came up to Thanatos castle. Thanatos grabbed Cora and came out of the carriage. He held her all the way into the castle until the front doors locked behind them. He ordered every guard to lock and watch all the exits to the castle. “Now look Cora, this is going to be your new home. You’re probably not gonna like it at first but I promise by next week or next month you will learn to love it here. As long as you give it a chance.” Just before Cora could respond, a three headed dog came out. “Who! No what is that!?” exclaimed Cora. “Oh. That’s just Cerberus, he said chuckling. He’s a good dog and won’t cause you any harm as long as you don’t try to leave without my permission. Shall we start your tour now?” Thanatos showed her the entire castle, and was about to show her, her room. “Cora this is your room. It has a bathroom inside of it. It’s the door by the barred window. I will have a servant bring you a big bowl of fruit and vegetables to have in your room and a water jug with a cup. They will change your food and water everyday so that you may have the freshest to eat and drink.” said Thanatos. “You may bring and give all you want but, I promise you, for as long as I am here, I will not eat nor drink a thing!” Cora said frustratingly. “I really wish you would… Ah perhaps after you see the amazing things my cook will make for you, you will change your mind.” “I think otherwise…” ” Cora, i’m going to go. Make this room feel like yours.”After Thanatos left and shut the door Cora began to scream and cry. ******** Now over on the fields where Cerelia was. “Cora?!?” said Cerelia looking all around. Maybe it was just my imagination. Besides she couldn’t get over here unless she had a pegasus. Still not assured whether it was just a figment of her imagination or the scary truth of her daughter screaming for her, she gets up and goes to her carriage. She thinks about all the extra work she’s gonna have to do tomorrow and starts her ride back home. Cerelia had landed at the front door. She opened the door to find an empty home. Before she freaked out, she remembered Cora asking to play with the Nereids. Cerelia begins to walk to the shore to see if her daughter is there. Cerelia was at the ocean shore but her daughter was nowhere to be found. She called for the Nereids, and they popped there heads out of the water. “What has happened to Cora?!”said Cerelia. “What do you mean Cerelia? She was supposed to go get flowers, so we could make headbands and crowns with the extra garland.” explained the Nereids. "She wasn't at home and I'm worried that she might've gone into the forbidden garden." Cerelia went and looked if the forbidden garden. She was shocked for what she had found. The forbidden garden belonged to Rhea whom was her mother, and was given to her brother Thanatos who she hasn’t spoke to for centuries. Thanatos has never met nor seen Cora. She began to cry, “My Cora! My Poor, Poor Cora! Where Are You! I Will Not Stop Looking Until I Find You!”up She yelled out for Zeus. “Zeus! Zeus! Come Quickly! Cora Is Missing! Within moments Zeus appeared and Cerelia explained what had happened. Zeus tells her that they will find Cora. Cerelia makes a promise, she says,”Until my daughter is found I will not harvest any plants” ******** Three months had pass and unhappy Cora wasn’t so unhappy. Although Cora was deathly hungry, she still wouldn’t eat or drink anything. “I wish you would like me a little more… Although I don’t seem like it, I really do have a warm heart and if you were to want to stay here willingly, i’d be the happiest person.” said Thanatos “If you would have made me like you, before you took me, maybe it wouldn’t be this way” Cora said “Maybe if you let me go now, I might come back and visit you every now and then.” “Ah Cora, you mistake me for a fool”, Thanatos said chuckling, “I can not trust you with that, you are too fond of living life and may never come visit me. And Cora, don’t the flowers in my… well our castle please you? Aren’t they more beautiful than the ones at your old home?” “Not even close! My beautiful garden was made with love from me and my mother together! Nothing is more greater than that!”Cora said as she began to storm off down the hall to her room. She sat there on her bed looking out her barred window and hummed a beautiful hum as she combed her hair. Thanatos was watching her. He looked at her with infatuation. He secretly loved her, but he knew he mustn't tell her because he feared that the one he kidnapped and secretly fell in love with wouldn’t love him back. Cora seen him gazing at her but he looked lonely and lost in thought. She walked up to him.”you know...I love you a little.”she said grabbing his hand. “You do? But… I have not deserved your love. Aren’t you hungry for you are practically starved. Is there anything that I can get you to eat?” Cora wished for nothing more than a slice of bread in which her mother made or some fruit from her garden. Thanatos sent his attendants to go a retrieve fruit from her garden or anywhere that they could find it. There were no fruit because Cerelia hasn’t been harvesting any plants. The only thing they could find was one dried up pomegranate. When Thanatos gave her the pomegranate she told him that she would not eat it. After he left she began to think that smelling it wouldn’t hurt anyone but, temptation grew and because her nose was so close to her mouth she ended up with three seeds in her mouth. Before she could stop it her hungry teeth bit down and she had eaten the three seeds. Right after she had eaten the three seeds, Thanatos, Hermes, and Zeus walked in. Hermes and Zeus came to talk to thanatos because no plants were being harvested and because of the cold the plants were dying faster. They had talked Thanatos into letting Cora go back to her mother. “Cora I give you your freedom. Hurry quickly with Hermes and Zeus back home with your mother.” “Thanatos… Thank You.” said Cora and before she left she kissed him on the cheek. Thanatos stood there in the room holding his cheek in which she kissed, looking empty. As Cora, Hermes, and Zeus flew off in Zeus’ carriage, you could hear cerberus barking grow fainter and fainter. Cora didn’t want to leave Thanatos whom she fell in love with but she wanted to be with her mother who she missed terribly. ******** Cerelia was sitting on the doorstep. She seen how plants were harvesting and she grew with anger,”How could this be! I said no plants were to be harvested until I was with my daughter again! Is earth disobeying me?! I summoned it to be bare until my daughter returned in my arms!” shouted Cerelia “Turn around mother. Hold me! I have returned.” Cora said crying with tears of joy. The two hugged and cried in celebration of being reunited but then Cerelia began to get worried. “Cora did you eat anything while you were there?” “Well I hadn’t ate anything until today… I was so hungry and I hadn’t ate a thing in over three months. I ate some pomegranate seeds.” Cerelia began to cry. “What is wrong mother?” exclaimed Cora. “For every seed you ate you must spend a month a Thanatos castle… How many did you eat Cora?” “Oh mother I didn’t know… I ate three.” Cora had to spend three months out of every year with Thanatos. During those three months because of how much Cerelia missed her beloved daughter she would not harvest. Those three months became known as Winter. It wasn’t entirely bad for Cora though because she still loved Thanatos & Thanatos loved her. So when Cora went for those three months she wasn’t miserable. Cora became known as Queen of the gems and jewels and her and Thanatos lived happily in their own castle.
Nice story!

Here's another one I did :) Rapunzel There once was a small village named Mistwick . Their in the small village lived a married couple who wished for a child. There names were Brezanae and Raziel. Brezanae had, had two miscarriages and was ready to give up. One day Brezanae had went for a walk and stopped by the play area where the kids played. She watched them chase each other and play games. Next to Brezanae was sitting a woman named Ataina. Ataina had turned to Brezanae and asked, “ Which one is yours ?” Oh, no I don’t have any kids, I just like to come and watch the kids play sometimes, said Brezanae. Oh, well I don’t mean to be nosey but are you planning on having kids? said Ataina. I had two miscarriages, and i’m not sure if I can go through another one. I see… well they do say third time’s a charm, Ataina said with a comforting smile. Well I don’t know about that but, I think i’m gonna give it one last try. As Brezanae went to walk away Ataina grabbed her hand and said, look i’m not sure if this will work but I have a garden full of herbs. I usually sell them but, i’m gonna give you some you just let two leaves sit in hot water for ten minutes and then take the leaves out. After you take the leaves out, you just drink it but only once a day. It will help strengthen your Ovum. Would you like some ? This round will be free. Brezanae agreed, and together they went to Atainas garden. Ataina’s garden was a block away from Brezanae’s cottage. Ataina gave Brezanae a total of sixty leaves enough to last her a month. Ataina let her know that in a month when she ran out that it would cost five dollars. Brezanae went home to tell Raziel all that had happened. When she was done Raziel was extremely happy that she had decided to not give up on having a child. Brezanae was six months into her pregnancy and her and Raziel were so grateful that she had not miscarried. There was a problem though Brezanae was short on the money for the leaves. She began to cry realizing that if she did not get those leaves, when she ran out in five days, she would probably miscarry. Her husband Raziel had asked her what was wrong and when she explained the problem he told her he would handle it. That night he snuck out to the garden and stole thirty leaves. When he returned home he gave her the leaves and explained what he had done. Although Brezanae had felt guilty she didn’t want to go through another miscarriage. Five days had passed and Ataina was waiting for Brezanae to buy some leaves. When Brezanae didn’t show Ataina got worried. Ataina wet to Brezanae and Raziel’s cottage to figure out why she didn’t show. Brezanae explained she only had three dollars this month for leaves and Ataina said she would give Brezanae thirty leaves for the three dollars. Brezanae agreed and the next day her and Raziel went and bought thirty leaves. When Brezanae was eight months pregnant she came short on money again. Raziel went back to the garden this time taking forty leaves. As he was walking out of the garden Ataina seen him. Instead of jumping out and stopping him she let him go. The next day Ataina stopped by there cottage and told them what she seen. Raziel tried to make her think it was a dream but it only made Ataina mad. Little did they know that Ataina was a witch and due to their acts of stealing and lieing Ataina told them, “I know what I seen, and instead of owning up to it and trying to find a way to pay for it you lie! First you steal from me, then lie to me, when all i’ve done has been nice to you?! For this you shall pay. You have to choices. One, You will miscarry in two days or two, the day you give birth you will give the child to me. Brezanae began to cry, and beg, but Ataina didn’t give in. Raziel and Brezanae came to and agreement of giving the witch Ataina the child. It was the day of the child’s birth and the witch was there. Ataina cleaned the baby off and clothed her, but never let brezanae or Raziel hold her or look at her. Ataina left and took the baby to a far away three story house that had no door or windows except one balcony which was on the very top of the house. That was where the young child named rapunzel grew up and was blocked off from the rest of the world. After Rapunzel came to the age sixteen Ataina left the house she would only come from noon to four and she expected the house to be clean and food prepared for when she arrived. When she arrived to the house she would shout Rapunzel! Rapunzel! Let down your hair! and down flew Rapunzel’s long golden hair. Rapunzel was beautiful and had a grateful personality. One day when Rapunzel was eighteen, A prince was riding his horse in the woods and heard Rapunzel singing. He stopped and hid behind a tree looking at the balcony in which she stood at singing and then he seen Ataina go up to building and yelled out, “Rapunzel! Rapunzel! Let down your hair! he stayed there until Ataina left and once he was sure she was gone he yelled out Rapunzel! Rapunzel! Let down your hair! and down came her hair. To her surprise, there was a handsome prince standing face to face with her. He told her how he heard her singing and waited outside to meet her. She was infatuated at the time, but he came to see her everyday and what came as little feelings grew into love. One day Rapunzel told Ataina how she wanted to go outside, but Ataina became upset and told her how outside in the real world it was dangerous. Rapunzel wouldn’t give up and accidentally told Ataina the witch about the charming prince. Angered Ataina grabbed Rapunzel by the hair and cut it off to where it was a little under shoulder length. She took her to the other side of the forest were a dark cottage was surrounded by thorns. The prince as usual came to see Rapunzel. When he got there he yelled out Rapunzel! Rapunzel! Let down your hair! When the golden hair fell down, he climbed up as usual. When he got to the top, he was in shock to find that it wasn't Rapunzel. It was Ataina. She cursed him for ever coming up to see Rapunzel. The curse made him blind but she didn’t tell him what could break the curse. Instead she threw him out of the house. He wandered around, all the way to the other side of the forest. He stopped because he heard Rapunzel singing. He yelled out Rapunzel! Rapunzel! She’s blinded me for now I cannot see your beautiful face and I know not of where you are or where we are. Help guide me to where you are, just tell me where to move. Soon the prince was with Rapunzel were they both told each other they loved each other for the first time and shared a kiss. As the kiss ended the prince was able to see again. Just as they were about to leave the surrounded dark cottage Ataina showed up. She yelled out, you ungrateful imbecile I keep you safe and you you deceive me! this shall be the end of this! and as she went to cast a death spell on Rapunzel the prince stabbed Ataina in the heart. Together Rapunzel and the prince went back to the castle where they got married. Rapunzel was able to meet her real parents and find out what really happened, and they all lived happily ever after.
