Well he says "Writing is the painting of the voice". My opinion of his quote is that a writer's works speaks for itself. As you read their work, you can imagine voices coming through it. Voices of the character, even voices of the narrator. You imagine what their voice is like, and you also pay attention to it as the words flow through your ears. c:
