I have a laptop and tripped over my cord and i must of broke something inside and i really need to get all my stuff off that laptop. Can I take a RAM from my windows pro 8 to my Toshiba?

If you tripped over the cord and the computer didn't fall, I'd bet on the plug where the power cord plugs in being the problem.  Make sure that it's clean, and maybe some wiggling of the power cord will make a contact.

Also RAM won't help you if you're trying to get things that are saved on your computer (programs, files, etc.) You'd need to take the hard drive out, not the RAM.
