Hypothesis testing AP Stats, can you check my hypotheses? 1. Suppose a coin toss turns up 12 heads out of 30 trials. Can one determine the coin toss is fair?

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

Ho: p=.5 Ha:p not= .5

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Looks really good. p=.5 is the expected outcome. Your alternative hypothesis is everything that the null hypothesis is not, allowing for the possibility that the die in question has a p greater or smaller than 0.5.

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

Thanks, I just wanted to check myself
