I WILL MEDAL OR FAN, Solve the system of linear equations below. y = -2x + 19 y = x + 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ill help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you combining?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A)x = 4, y = 11 B)x = -12, y = -5 C)x = -4, y = 3 D)x = 8, y = 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats what u can choose from but i really dont understand how to do it step by step

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ur solving by substitution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im sorry but i gtg

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@usercode3rror can u help me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i cant i have to go use elimination method

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ajo21

rishavraj (rishavraj):

see u can plug the value of "y" from 2nd equation ......in the 1st one like y = x + 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what to do next @rishavraj

rishavraj (rishavraj):

so it means x + 7 = -2x + 19

rishavraj (rishavraj):

so now u can solve for 'x' by urself??? once u get x ...plug it in 2nd equation and get y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks

rishavraj (rishavraj):

u welcome:))
