OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

Unlike outer planets, inner are located INSIDE the asteroid belt.

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

Unlike the outer planets, they aren’t technically made out of gas, but usually are rocky and terrestrial. Composed of mostly ‘silicates’ and metals. The outer planets are gas giants. Inner planets are hotter; hence they are close to the sun. So many things are unknown about them individually, they are all mysterious!
