Have you attempted to calculate the volume?

OpenStudy (k12awesomeness):

yes, i have.

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

3/4 is already filled which means 1/4 has to be filled so 1/4* volume of box

OpenStudy (k12awesomeness):

Ohh, okay. Thx..

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

Only that or more?

OpenStudy (k12awesomeness):

more, if oyu don't mind

OpenStudy (k12awesomeness):

you*

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

Calculate the volume of the other box. For that multiply each side of the previous box by 3 and then multiply them. After this find the ratio of the new box(tripled one) to old box(normal one mentioned in the first part)

OpenStudy (k12awesomeness):

i'm confused

OpenStudy (k12awesomeness):

??

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

For the first box \[\large\rm Volume_{first~box} = l*w*h \] For seocnd boc \[\large\rm Volume_{Second~box} = 3l*3w*3h \] now find \[\large\rm \frac{Volume_{Second~box}}{Volume_{first~box}} \] If it equals to three the statemnet would be correct

OpenStudy (k12awesomeness):

ohh, okay
