So she told her mom and her mom told her to shut it down so she finally did but she still was scared because she didn’t know how long it was up but nobody ever came and her mom helped her look into it and now she now's how dangerous it is to go online and share personal stuff about you and now Lisa, Katie, and Mike will never go online and Lisa said sorry to Mike because she wouldn’t listen to him. After that everything turned out fine and they learned there lesson to never talk to people online that you don’t know.

My story is going to be about these three friends named Katie, mike, and Lisa. These three kids never really had an interest in the internet; they just like to watch TV and play games. However, Lisa, Mike, and Katie was ridiculed. Other teenagers made fun of them because they were described as ‘geeks’. The small peer group had no Kick, Myspace, Facebook, or anything related to social media. They normally just go on the web, just to look up the solution to a question. So, one day Katie decided to get Facebook because she was tired of suffering from being made fun of. Also, since everybody had it; she thought that everything was fine. She informed her friends Mike, and Lisa, about her plans. Mike didn’t think it was a good idea to go online. He was cautious and he didn’t think it was wise chat with people you don’t even know. Though Lisa still insisted.

“But people from school do it and all you are required to do is look at pictures and like them!”
“No, you don’t share personal information! Especially what you look like, what age, and other items that someone could use against you! Come on, we all know this! They can also hack your account and get to your address in real life, and or cyber life!”
“Oh, come on, you are just being a worry wart Mike!”

“No I am not! Have you ever heard of online predators? Besides, some of the items they post might not be appropriate!” He explained, trying to prevent them from this mistake.

Despite Mike’s desperate attempts on warning them, Lisa and Katie didn’t listen. So then one day Lisa followed this boy she assumed that was cute. Soon, they started texting each other and she told him personal stuff. He sent her sweet cards, stuffed bears, and more! Then, one day her account got hacked! That wasn’t all, she had been getting weird calls from strangers! Even some inappropriate texts! She cried, not knowing what to do.

Knock, knock.

Her sobs lowered, as she peered out her window. Memory crashed over her like a ton of bricks. She had told him where she lived. It wouldn’t be that bad right? She blinked her tears away, slowly turning on the patio light... She froze with terror. This man wasn’t the boy she remembered. For all she knew, he was 15! However, this man didn’t look 15.. He looked way older! Around his 40s! The stranger had a hanger chief and rope in one hand. Jiggling the knob, attempting to get to her.

Lisa quickly called Katie and Mike, telling them what has happened. Who the man really was, Lisa started to cried because she really thought of him as a honest teenage, cute boy. Did she love him?

“M-mike, there is a man outside… I- I…”

“Lisa! What do you mean? What is-“

“I should have listend to you! She spurred out, not wating for him to finish his sentence.

“Ok, Ok. Where is your mom?”

“I am home alone…” She shook.
“ Ok, hold on, I will call the police!”
“Wait!”
BOOM.
The door suddenly opened, revealing the stranger she had seen outside. She quickly darted upstairs, hiding in the lining closet.

“Oh Lisa 2.3? Where are you…” He said in a husky voice, as he walked around the house.

Slowly, she drifted off from all of the stress, waking up to hear sirens.
“Lisa Daniea, you are now safe, the police are now here.” A authority like voice called.
She was saved.
Mike, Katie, and her mom were huddled up in the living room, rushing over towards her.

“Lisa, my dear!” Her mom ran faster than anyone, squeezing her so tight. She told her mom and the police what has happened. She soon found out that she was very fortunate. This man was wanted, and was a online predator. He was known for approaching young girls and boys, grooming them to find out where they lived. He had taken about 5 little girls, just like Lisa. His penalty was now 25 years in jail. Now, few months later, the gang knows how dangerous it is to go online and share personal stuff about yourself. Lisa, Katie, and Mike will never go online, revealing personal information. However, they soon found out an awesome new Math 60 website! Totally moderated and a private settings. They now go on it together, avoiding strangers that might be online predators. Lisa, and Katie both said sorry to Mike because she wouldn’t listen to him. After that, everything turned out fine and they learned their lesson to never talk to people online that you don’t know. Lisa especially. She turned out to be a volunteer in the Wise Kids Online organization, which teaches kids to know the red flags. Her story had blossomed into hope.
