OpenStudy (ishipdestiel):

Who was Constantine and why did he move the capital of the Roman Empire to Constantinople?

jabez177 (jabez177):

Constantine believed that the Roman Empire had become too big and disorganized to be managed as one Empire. So he split it into two halves. The eastern half became the Byzantine Empire. The capital of the eastern portion of the Roman Empire, the Byzantine Empire, became Constantinople, while the capital of the western Roman Empire remained Rome. https://www.khanacademy.org/questions/117-why-did-constantine-move/kafb_3841793 That site really helps.
