OpenStudy (jellybot23):

I know the answer, I just want to know the process on how to get there, please! A girl claps her hands 1,100 meters from a wall. Calculate the air temperature if she hears an echo 6.2 seconds later. Thank you!

OpenStudy (baru):

in 6.2 sec sound travels 2,200 meters so you can work out the speed of sound then you have to use the formula for speed of sound \[a=\sqrt{\gamma R T}\] (a is the speed of sound, T is the temperature, \(\gamma \) and R are constants)
