I need help dividing these lines segments please! A is (-3,9) and B is (9,5) I need help finding the coordinates of point C, E, and H. I've tried this equation Xc= Xa + (a/a+b) (Ba - Xa) but it hasn't given me one of my possible answers. I really need help, please!

Because the line is strait we can use ideas from similar triangles and proportions to know that the x componants and the y componants will be in the same proportions as the entire length. Start wtih Point C and find how far along the line it is. The X,and Y coordinates for this point will be that same proportion of the total.

I think C is 3/17 or 2/9. I don't know if those small points in between play into the equation or not.

Ok, where do I go from here as how to solve this with the triangle?
