Can someone please help me with Spanish? Write out full sentences to express the times below. Example: 7:00 Son las siete. 3. 6:12 4. 7:40 5. 3:55 6. 1:15 7. 12:45 11. 11:30

OpenStudy (abbycross167):

@the_ocean_girl can you please try to help me?

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

Let's get started on these time problems! Do you know your Spanish numbers?

OpenStudy (abbycross167):

yes ma'am

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

Let's get to it then! 6:12. How do you say 6 and how do you say 12?

OpenStudy (abbycross167):

6=seis 12= doce

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

So to say "It is 6:12", you say, "Son las seis y doce."

OpenStudy (abbycross167):

oh okay!

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

You try the next one. There are 2 ways to say this one.

OpenStudy (abbycross167):

7:40 = Es la siete menos cuarenta ?

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

You just said "It is 7 minus 40" When you give a time and you subtract a value, you go one hour up, then subtract what you need to get to the correct time. So for this one, you would say, it is 8 minus 20. Do you understand?

OpenStudy (abbycross167):

Wait are we doing 7:40? or 3. 6:12?

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

7:40

OpenStudy (abbycross167):

So wouldn't it be 20 minutes to 8? or it is 8 minus 20 (like you just said?)

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

It could be either way but the way you tried to say it, it would've been 8 minus 20

OpenStudy (abbycross167):

oh ok I understand now
