How did Justinian gain the throne?
His uncle made him co-emperor. His uncle actually adopted Justinian, educated him at the capital, and as a result, Justinian was well educated by the time he inherited the throne from his uncle who died later.
Thank you

Do you know why Justinian failed to regain all of the former provinces of the old Roman Empire?
Justinian's generals (such as Belisarius) were the reason that he almost came close to reclaiming all of the lost parts of the Roman Empire in the West. They were well equipped, loyal to the throne, and good at what they did. But Justinian was awful when it came to spending money. He just ran out of the stuff by the end of his reign and had to shrink the army because he couldn't afford to pay all of those soldiers.
Thank you so muchhhh
