Help factoring/proving a polynomial identity? Hi, I was wondering how you would factor (a^2 + b^2) = (a^2 – b^2) + (2ab) using algebraic properties and/or proofs, stuff like that. And then, for the second half of the question, how would you prove it numerically? As in, inserting values to prove it? Thanks.
