Yeah, Ok well I would start by getting the 9 on the other side so you subtract 9 from both sides leaving you with -28 = 2u - 6u, then you can combine the 2u and 6u leaving you with -4u, -28=-4u and then to isolate U you have to divide -4 from both sides and when you do that your answer is 7 = U. Hope this helped :D
