I'm on Forbes.com and I was wondering why when articles load, how come the website slows down and lags? The articles aren't that big.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

maby your wifi is not that good

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's school wifi. All websites are loading fast but forbes is the only one giving me problems. It's frozen completely a couple times

OpenStudy (anonymous):

have you tryed to shut down your internet browser and try again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes I have. It's still freezing or crashing when I load articles. I have even gotten rid of the cache and browser cookies

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i recomend getting surfbord its a web site and a app that gets rid of lag

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm on school wifi. It can only load certain sites authorized by administrators.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SURFbord

OpenStudy (anonymous):

give me the link and ill try to figure it out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Of the site that's giving problems?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i think i figured it out this website has alot of adds try hitting the x button on all the adds or if you could copy the articul and pase it onto word

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The ads aren't giving me a chance to delete them. Is there any other way to get rid of them without have an Administrator log on?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can try to gir rid of them using inspect element but its a long prosses and you can only use it once because when you refresh it it will be gone

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

Although this isn't a math question, it's probably the ads. Forbes is offering 30 days of no ads if you disable your ad blockers, so maybe download Ad blocker plus, go back to forbes and then they'll tell you to turn it off to have 30 days ad-free. Worked for me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll try that later with my account from home. I can't download ad blocker from a school computer. If I download it at home to a flash drive can I transfer it to my school computer and run it that way?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i hope you can fix it

Thanks for the help guys. Appreciate it.
