Pain and loss is always pretty fun to write about, if you know anything about it. And it doesn't have to be anything huge, I don't know it could be about the time your dog ran away and you were oh so worried, you know? But poems portraying feelings are great, because you don't have to say anything directly. Hope that helps, somewhat (:

Some Ideas:

- Make it something far-fetched but not entirely nonsensical. Think along the lines of the "There Was an Old Woman who Lived in a Shoe".

- Something serious that ends funny. You can write something that sounds really sad and talks about loss but ends with you revealing that the lost entity is something like a lost sock.

- It seems elementary but a poem about a color is not only easy to write, but it can also be adjusted to sound less elementary.

Just some silly ideas. :D
