PLEASE HELP(: In King Arthur's Knights, why did King Anguish send La Belle Isoude and Sir Tristram off with a heavy heart? King Anguish did not have a heavy heart. All was as it should be in his opinion. The pair were newlyweds and he felt they needed to stay with him longer. He was afraid that Sir Tristram would steal La Belle Isoude away from King Mark on the journey. He wanted them to marry each other.
