OpenStudy (bezerkhd):

Jess observed that 60% of the people at a mall on a particular day shopped for clothes. If 2500 people at the mall did not shop for clothes that day, the number of people who shopped for clothes that day was ______.

OpenStudy (bezerkhd):

I think i have the answer i just want to make sure.

OpenStudy (bezerkhd):

2500 is the other 40% correct?

OpenStudy (bezerkhd):

The way i'd do this is to divide 2500 making it 20%.

OpenStudy (bezerkhd):

Then multiply the 20% by 3 making it the total amount of people shopping for cloths.

OpenStudy (bezerkhd):

Meaning the total cloth shoppers are 3,750.
