HELP ASAP!! FAN AND MEDAL!! DUE TUESDAY!! Does this make sense? Are there any errors?
The cyclopes is incredibly ignorant and isn't very bright. Cyclopes is the main character, the hero, gets him drunk and stabs him in the eye. The cyclopes was found on an island watching over sheep and rams. He killed about 6-8 of the hero's friends in the process of them escaping. The Cyclopes lived in a fertile land. the Cyclops is Poseidon's son, and his name is Polyphemus. The Cyclops is an one eyed creature and what happens is Odysseus and his men land on an island and what happens is it happens that Poseidon's son. Polyphemus was there and he would take Odysseus soldier and him and throw him in a cave and put a bolder in front. Every day Polyphemus would eat two soldiers. One day Odysseus confronts Polyphemus and gives him beer and in return Polyphemus asked what Odysseus name was and he replied with Norman. Every day the Cyclops would herd his sheep by moving the bolder. One night he went to get two men but the men hid when the cyclops tried to grab one he could not get one so instead he pulled the bolder. Odysseus threw a stick in the only eye of Polyphemus blinding him. He roared with the scream and when his sister asked who is attacking you he said no man was hurting me they left they then snuck out under the sheep. Ironically, Polyphemus checks all the back of the sheep but not under. So they get away.
correcting it hold on.
you had some sentences that threw me off.
cyclops
I am rewording them though
i wanna do it ;~;
first things first you put plural cyclopes so it should be "are" and "aren't" in the first sentence
Ok. Thank you. @MissSmartiez @ILovePuppiesLol
or you can change it to the Cyclops, singular
Yea i messed up on the spelling for Cyclops
So, so far I fixed: The Cyclopes is an ignorant and incompetent character in the epic story, Odyssey. Cyclopes plays as a main character. This character is portrayed to have one eye. However, it wasn’t always like this. In the story, he has only one optical because the hero gets him drunk and then proceeds to stabs him in the eye. Therefore, the result is Cyclopes losing it. The Cyclopes was originally found on an island watching over sheep and rams. This island was very fertile, and flourishing with vast vegetation.
Make sure you include proper convection in your paragraphs, that counts as many points. I saw some unneeded items, that threw me off on the main topic of each paragraph, when you were talking about land, you said that he killed 6 - 8 people, that seems unneeded and needs to be replaced in another paragraph, which i am including.
Great job though! You seem to get the point across!
The cyclopes are incredibly ignorant and aren't very bright. The Cyclops is the main character and the hero, which is the antagonist, makes him drunk and stabs him in the eye. The cyclops was found on an island watching over sheep and rams. He killed some of the hero's friends while they were attempting to escape. The Cyclops is a one eyed creature named Polyphemus and is the son of Poseidon. They live on a fertile land where sheep and rams graze. Odysseus, the hero, landed on the island where the cyclops resided. Polyphemus proceeded to take some of Odysseus's men. He would then throw them in the cave and put a boulder in front. Polyphemus would eat 2 soldiers everyday. One day, Odysseus confronts Polyphemus and gives him a beer and Polyphemus asked for Odysseus's name in return. Odysseus replied with the name Norman. Every day the Cyclops would herd his sheep by moving the bolder. One night he went to get two men but the men hid and when Polyphemus tried to grab one he failed to successfully get one. Odysseus proceeded to throw a stick in Polyphemus's eye, which blinded him. He roared in anger and when his sister questioned him on who attacked him he said that no man was hurting him and that they had left and snuck out under the sheep. Polyphemus ironically checks everywhere except for the bottom of the sheep and then men are able to escape.
my rewording of the entire thing
@MissSmartiez mind reading it and telling me what u think
it was really messy and hard to do it lol cause its just a rewording, if i wrote it myself woulda been easier
wait, is it CYCLOPES or one cyclop?
however, @ilovemath14 what do you mean by: Every day the Cyclops would herd his sheep by moving the bolder.
do you mean move it so they can get past?
Cyclops @MissSmartiez
he means boulder
he means he moves the boulder so they can go out
the boulder is there to prevent anyone from entering or exiting the cave
So which one do I choose? #1 The Cyclopes is an ignorant and incompetent character in the epic story, Odyssey. Cyclopes plays as a main character. This character is portrayed to have one eye. How I understood it, feel free to change. The Cyclops is an ignorant and incompetent character in the epic story, Odyssey. The cyclops plays as a main character. Cyclops true origins comes from Poseidon’s side. For he is Poseidon's son, and his real name is Polyphemus. What basically happens in this story is that Odysseus and his men land on an island; which so happens to belong to Polyphemus, otherwise known as Cyclops. Polyphemus didn’t like this at all, so he would take Odysseus soldiers, and him and throw him in a cave. Then, putting a bolder in front to ensure that they don’t escape. Every day, Polyphemus would come to the cave to eat two soldiers. However, unfortunately for Polyphemus, Odysseus confronts him; giving him beer. Of course, he foolishly accepts it, not thinking about the results and or consequences. In return Polyphemus asked what Odysseus name was, and he replied, saying his name was Norman. Every day the Cyclops would herd his sheep by moving the bolder, allowing them to get to the outside it with ease. One night he went to get two men, but the men hid when the cyclops tried to grab one. In all of his attempts, he still could not get one. Instead, he pulled the bolder. Odysseus threw a stick in the only eye of Polyphemus blinding him. He roared and scream with inferiority! When his sister asked who is attacking him, he replied with, “No man was hurting me. They left and then snuck out under the sheep.” Ironically, Polyphemus checks all the back of the sheep but not under. Allowing them to escape.
