OpenStudy (nino_jim):

the speed of a ship is 60km/hr. how far will it travel in 14 hours

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Speed = velocity = s/t ; s-distance and t-time

OpenStudy (nino_jim):

so just divide 14 by 60

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Why divide? Again: distance = (rate) (time) What is the speed? What is the time? Multiply those two together to obtain the distance traveled.

OpenStudy (nino_jim):

@FFASinger

OpenStudy (nino_jim):

so would it be 840km

OpenStudy (mathmale):

OpenStudy (ffasinger):

OpenStudy (nino_jim):
