Can someone summarize this quote for me to understand it more? “Don’t market yourself. Editors and readers don’t know what they want until they see it. Scratch what itches. Write what you need to write, feed the hunger for meaning in your life. Play at the serious questions of life and death.”

“Don’t market yourself. Editors and readers don’t know what they want until they see it. Scratch what itches. Write what you need to write, feed the hunger for meaning in your life. Play at the serious questions of life and death.” I think it means don't do what people want you to do. Only their expectations rather than yours. Don't let others easily waver your ideas into someone else. It is your paper, write what you must write. Feed your hunger in your life expectations.
u really are miss smartiez ;~; and I'm just a puppy lover
So don't merely change something because you think that the audience wants it. Be dependent on your intellect. Don't let a dislike in plot brake you down, reducing your hunger into someone elses.
;w; XD, don't say that, lol.
You are a smart puppy lover :3! .//W//.
