OpenStudy (photon336):

We need to multiply by a conversion factor. we know that 1690 meters are in 1 mile right? so we multiply 6.5 miles by a fraction. notice that miles is in the denominator and meters is in the numerator and when we multiply them both we get miles. can you see why? \[\frac{ 6.5~mile }{ hr }*(\frac{ 1690~meters }{ mile }) = (?)\]
