Let's do the right side part, that seems easier, What's the mathematically symbol to represent r plus 6?

means. 

t - 7 

= equals 

a number r plus 6 

plus = addition. 


r+6 = t-7

we have to factor t out....so we multiply right?

so take a look at this. 

all we have to do is add 7 to both sides. 

t-7 = r + 6 
 +7       +7 

so now we've got an expression for t in terms of r 

t = r + 13
