On Friday, 15 students went to the tutoring.

What is the percent decrease in the number of students who went to tutoring?

Since there is a decrease of 25 students on friday which makes 25/40*100=62.5% of 40 students. So there is a decrease of 62.5%.

The true value is 37, while supposed value is 42. The difference here is 5 and if we calculate the percentage of error, we would find out how much % "5" is of "37" which is the true value.
Turns out it will be. 5/37*100= 13.5% and that's the answer.
