I have stood up to a very, tall, man. Whom was a security guard, (over 300 pounds and could beat me, not telling who he was. To me. Or what relations.), for my mom. I didn't think, just reacted. It felt as if I could fight to the finish. 

Those, were fight or flight responses. My love for my mom had an impact on this, and I somehow triggered my fight instincts.
