hi! please help me. Question: What is the percentage error if I use a value of 3 1/7 for π (pi) ? Answer: 0.0402% how do I work this out?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont really know much of this

OpenStudy (phi):

You first find \[ \frac{error}{true \ value}\] then make that a decimal number then multiply by 100 to make it a percent error is estimate - truth in this case 22/7 is the estimate, and pi (use your calculator for its value) is truth.
