What is the exact circumference of the circle? A. 48 inches B. 32 inches C. 16 inches D. 8 inches https://static.k12.com/calms_media/media/1419000_1419500/1419356/1/9ee5463168e0f0fa802a7e4be7f67e9f074d19ee/MS_PA_130922_171128.jpg I tried to do this by doing 3.14 x the diameter which I think is 16 or possibly 32 because radius times 2 is the diameter. Please help!

16 divided by 2 is what?

@ProMiner10000, I will work it out with you. :)
16 /2 = 8.
Right. So the formula for circumference is: \[2\times \pi \times radius\]
So 2 x 3.14 x 8?
Yes, Sir!
@jabez177 but when I do that I get 50.24 but the only answer choices are 48, 32, 16 and 8.
Ohhhhh!! They want the exact. Does your choices end in PI? \[\pi \]
Like \[48\pi \]
Yes.
Ahhhh! Now I understand it. :) We don't multiply the PI or 3.14 We just do 2 x 8 and your answer will be what?
16.
But so that I can do this myself later, where did you get 8 from?
We need to get the radius so radius is basically half of the diameter.
So the diameter is 16 and then the radius is 8?
so 16 divided by 2 is 8 Correct. :)
Ok, thank you so much!
You are most welcome. :)
