Plz I really need help on this. I will fan and medal. Someone please help i'm really desperate right now. Find a rational number and an irrational number that are between 5.2 and 5.5. Include the decimal approximation of the irrational number to the nearest hundredth.

OpenStudy (pj1345):

Did they give you any answer choices?

OpenStudy (garretttyre05):

No its a writing question.

OpenStudy (garretttyre05):

do you have any idea what it is

OpenStudy (pj1345):

I`m guessing 5.29

OpenStudy (garretttyre05):

I need to find a rational and irrational number

OpenStudy (garretttyre05):

Its not multiple choice.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

√28 and √29

OpenStudy (garretttyre05):

Is that for the rational and irrational number.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, A rational number has a decimal representation that terminates or that repeats in a pattern. Examples of rational numbers in the range. 5.3 5.33333... (e.g. 5 1/3) 5.35 5.363636... (e.g. 5 12/33) 5.4 5.44444... (i.e. 5 4/9) 5.49 (i.e. 5 49/100) For an irrational number, it's probably easiest to think of a square root that is in that range. 5.2² = 27.04 5.5² = 30.25 So a couple answers that would work are: √28 and √29

OpenStudy (garretttyre05):

Ok i don,t know how i would write it?

OpenStudy (garretttyre05):

plz help

OpenStudy (garretttyre05):

Do you have any clue to what the answer is and how to write it
