Is the relation, {(3,5), (-4,5), (-5,0), (1,1), (4,0)} a function?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, because no x value is repeated @angelllllll

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you! In order for the relation to not be a function it would have to have an x involved. Correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In order for it not to be a function, an x value would have to be repeated. For example: (3,8) (3,4) (6,9) is not a function because an x value (3) is repeated

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Remember, the first number in the parenthesis is the x. The second number is the y (x,y)

Much appriciated. I understand much better now! Thank you again, and thanks for your time. A medal was given. Have a great day!
