alrite.. how are you meant to get it? is this trig or just plain geometry?

OpenStudy (ibrafacts):

geo

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

the 24 one is very simple just notice, the radius is 8 for the circle, so.. find the area for the whole circle, then notice, you're asked only for 1 quadrant, the 1st quadrant, meaning, whatever area you get, divide that by 4, and that's the area of that "sector of the circle" then, find the area of that triangle, simple enough, radius is 8, thus base is 8 height is 8 also for that triangle then subtract the triangle's area from the circle's sector and that'd be the shaded area because, once you subtract or "remove" the triangle from the Sector, all that's left, is the area that is NOT the triangle, the Segment

OpenStudy (ibrafacts):

wait i need to do 23 and 25 unless they are the sam concept

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

ohh man... rats.. yes

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):
