OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which statement about the citric acid cycle is true? (Select all that apply.) ATP is consumed. NADH and FADH2 are produced. Pyruvate is produced. CO2 is released.

OpenStudy (kikuo):

C02 is released and 4 NADH and1 FAD2 are produced.

OpenStudy (kikuo):

ATP is actually produced in the process and pyruvate is produced in glycolysis. : )

OpenStudy (anonymous):

glycolysis also requires the consumption of ATP :)

OpenStudy (fatir5):

3 NADH plus 1 FADH2 is produced per molecule of pyruvate. Since you could see that during the cycle, 6 carbon citrate molecule converts back to 4 carbon oxaloacetate and for that it has to lose its carbons repeatedly in different reactions, So CO2 is also produced.

Thank you all!(:
