Do you believe once saved always saved... Explain why for either one? Part 2!
Lol I think I wiped out all of my brain with "Part One"
@Qwertty123
lol :) So you believe that you can never lose your salvation..
Yes
Why?
Reallly I just did this yesterday lol
Sorry but like I don't get it? If we keep it and are sinning we would go to hell right.
For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt.-Hebrews 6:4-6
What is it saying is impossible?
No, if we TRULY have accepted Jesus into our lives he has remembered our sins no more. Our name has been placed into the Lamb's book of life. He holds us in the palm of his hand AND HE WILL NEVER LET US GO
It is impossible to fall away from God

If we keep it and are sinning we would go to hell right. \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) Once accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior, and confessing and repenting from our sins, he forgives your sin. 1 John 1:9 says: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Titus 3:5: He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,
So, I think everyone is right. The truth is, if we have truly repented and applied the atonement of our Savior, Jesus Christ, then our sins are forgiven and He remembers them no more. However, repentance has never been nor will it ever be a one time thing. Repentance should be happening daily and only by a consistent effort to do this can we be "saved." There's a lot more to repentance than I think anyone here realizes. It requires a change of heart, a dedication to following Jesus Christ and obedience to ALL of His commandments. And when we make mistakes, we continue this process. However, neglecting this daily reformation claiming that we've already been "saved" will only result in our demise.
Oh okay I see! :D
@blm1 I understand where your coming from. It's true that our works mean virtually nothing compared to what Jesus Christ has done for us, however, they are a strong indication of our faith in Him. Grace is granted as a gift, as is faith and when our actions revert to a state of faithlessness, there ends our hope for salvation. "Faith without works is dead."
I believe you've just proved my point. Salvation isn't gained by not doing things, it's gained by acting in faith in Jesus Christ and when we choose not to act or act contrary to His teachings, it signifies our lack of faith.
Correct @tanner23456 !
I believe the same thing as you! Keep it up!
There's a lot more to the acceptance of salvation than I think you realize. The act of accepting Jesus Christ in your life involves a complete change of heart and consistent effort to become more like him. You're right. Salvation is free, but it is not a cheap experience. Matthew 7:21 "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."
@blm1 why did you delete your comments? I think they were helpful for people with questions.
