find the area of the non-shaded triangle and the shaded triangle.
OpenStudy (vhtran):
once you get your answer for the non-shaded triangle, multiply it by 3 because there are 3 of them and add that with the shaded triangle to get your total surface area.
OpenStudy (jgkg13):
14
OpenStudy (jgkg13):
i got 672

is it wrong
OpenStudy (vhtran):
yes, the formula for the area of a triangle is base times height divided by 2
OpenStudy (vhtran):
if you do that for all the triangles and add them. it would be a much smaller number than 672
OpenStudy (vhtran):
14 was closer to the answer.
OpenStudy (jgkg13):
21

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):
there are 4 similar triangles
area of one triangle = base-height/2
A=4*3,5/2 = 2*3,5 =7
Apyramid = 7*4 = ?
OpenStudy (jgkg13):
28
jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):
right sure
jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):
