Compare the Articles of Confederation to the U.S. Constitution. Explain how the Constitution resolved one of the problems/weaknesses that the Articles of Confederation had. Be specific in your response

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

Make a list of all the facts you know about the Articles. It doesn't have to be full sentences just pour it out on to the paper. Then make a list of every thing you know about the Constitution. Same as before. Compare means find similarities. Go through your lists. What is the same in both? Circle, star, highlight or whatever the similarities. Write a sentence like There are (number) main similarities between the Articles and Constitution. Finish that paragraph by listing the similarities you found. Use full sentences Next paragraph, There are a number of differences between the AoC and Constitution. Finish that paragraph by listing the differences. Use full sentences again. Put everything that is different from your lists. If there are a lot, it may take 2 paragraphs. Start your last paragraph with "One problem with the Articles was (fill in the blank). Explain why that was a problem. "The Constitution took care of the problem with (whatever it is) Then explain how that is better. I would pick lack of a strong executive for the problem. It's straight forward explaining how things can go wrong with nobody in charge and 13 states doing whatever. The Constitution created the Executive Branch and the Presidency. That took care of the problem. You should be able to explain how that is better.
